2017 Highway 12 Reserve Syrah
This is one of those examples of a vineyard specific, small batch winemaking that we should shout about from the mountaintop. But--since that's not our gig--it's just an amazing, affordable Sonoma Valley Syrah that over-delivers to the max--especially for a Library wine. The deep violet color and bright nose of boysenberry chutney lead you on a path of unfolding ripe blackfruit, allspice and tasty oak. Refined tannins give it that rusty, dusty Library appeal. Pair this with a Moroccan-spiced grilled leg of lamb. Drinks beautifully now ***hint--Library wines love to open up and show you their best--decant or pour 1/2 before serving!
