2021 Highway 12 Bordeaux Blend

This highly anticipated release is back and no better time than the present! With Fall right around the corner, this beloved blend of equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot is sure to be the welcomed addition to any cellar or social setting. The familiar nose of rich blackfruit and violet with a whiff of faint tanned leather are all too nostalgic and the palate seals the deal with a bright entry and mid-palate of plum preserves and currant with mocha notes.

Finishes long and satisfying as heck; slightly herbal for balance and softens with some bottle time. Has some incredible cellaring power behind it—7-10 years won’t surprise us (if we can wait that long) with the backbone and structure here. Open 1/2 hour before serving or even a decanter would be put to good use here to open up this wine.

Fall pairings? Get creative with a braised lamb shoulder with citrus, fennel and pomegranate reduction or a pork and porcini ragu over mascarpone polenta. Either is a transcendent pairing experience.

Or...hear us out... a really yummy gooey, slightly oily slice (or 2) of pepperoni pizza. Seriously...perfection.
