2021 Highway 12 Cabernet Sauvignon

New Vintage Release!

Tough to follow that 2020 Cabernet with its showy 91 points from Wine Enthusiast but the 2021 release seems to come darn close--showcasing depth, strength and elegance. Blended with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and about 10% Merlot, the wine was aged in French oak and showcases cedary overtones supported by the round mid-palate body and tingly tannins on the edge of the finish. Entry exhibits soft earthtones on the nose with hints of cherry, blueberry and a vanilla-oak softness. Medium to full-bodied the wine reveals wonderful fruit ripeness supported by richness and a slightly chewy core. Did we get Cab-geeky enough for ya! At the end of the day, this is a perfect anytime sipper and awesome host gift! Versatility, value and the YUM factor.
